Safety officer

Job Description:

A Safety Officer at Zamil Inspection is responsible for implementing and monitoring safety protocols, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Implementing Zamil Inspection and applicable local Safety Policies at sites.
  • Assessing risks associated with projects to identify or mitigate hazardous conditions within the workplace and external environments.
  • Conducting HSE toolbox talk at site and facility as per the plan.
  • Conducting Audits and inspections at sites and facility as per the plan to ensure compliance with applicable local HSE standards.
  • Performing Lifesaving rules inspections as per the plan.
  • Ensuring HSE KPIs are reported as per clients reports timelines.
  • In case of occurrence, Timely reporting HSE incidents as per the clients incident reporting guidelines at workplace.
  • Investigating HSE incidents and liaising with engineers, management, and health and safety regulatory authorities to identify causes of accidents and prevent their recurrence.
  • Practicing providing advice and training on safety protocols and conducting.
  • Demonstrating the usage of safety equipment and encouraging the workforce to use it
 

Requirements:

  • A Diploma in HSE or equivalent.
  • 5 years of relevant experience in HSE function.
  • Knowledgeable with all safety norms or rules (e.g. OSHA etc.). Job safety analysis. Knowledgeable with rigging signals.
  • NEBOSH IGC certification will be an added advantage.
  • Application of Industry knowledge and best practice.
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Arabic language is required.
